8 TIPS FOR FINDING THE RIGHT BALANCE

 

1.  Take a good look at the time and energy you're  investing in the 4 "boxes" or areas of your life:  work, family, community and self.

2. Identify specific changes you'd like to make in order to achieve a better balance.

3.  Focus on small and realistic changes  so you can build on your early success --and increase  your confidence.

4.  Set expectations and write down goals   Keep a record of your efforts and progress.

5.  Enlist the support of others.  Keep building your support network.

6.  Don't be too hard on yourself.  Try to learn from the process of making personal change --and moving towards the right balance for you.

7.  Don't try to change things overnight.

8.  Nurture your sense of humour and keep your perspective.
